The Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia charged one of the organizers of the rally in Rustaveli Avenue, Badri Bitsadze, spouse of the leader of the Democratic Movement, former Speaker Nino Burjanadze. Deputy prosecutor general of Georgia David Sakvarelidze said today at a briefing.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia charged one of the organizers of the rally in Rustaveli Avenue, Badri Bitsadze, spouse of the leader of the Democratic Movement, former Speaker Nino Burjanadze. Deputy prosecutor general of Georgia David Sakvarelidze said today at a briefing.

"Based on the testimony of detainees, including head of half-militarized formation, Gia Uchava, we charge Bitsadze of preparing the armed resistance and riots," he said.
According to unofficial information, the prosecutor's office requires a bail Bitsadze's stay in freedom.

The clashes between the opposition and law-enforcement agencies of Georgia in night May 26 killed two and wounded several people.
