The Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Ambassador Miroslav Jenca, will visit Astana on July 22, Spokesman for the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Ilyas Omarov said.
During the meetings, Jenca is expected to discuss prospects for Kazakhstan-UN cooperation. He will review current trends in the Central Asian region (in particular, the current situation in Afghanistan), implementation of SCO Summit decisions for the region, and questions of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OIC Council of Ministers.
