Saudi Arabia’s position in matters interesting to fraternal Azerbaijan remains unchanged, as stated in the message of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the embassy.
Information has been recently circulating in some social networks and media that allegedly the Saudi ambassador to the US said that Saudi Arabia supported a draft resolution recognizing the so-called "Armenian Genocide" in the US Congress, as stated in the message.
"The information spread is not true, and the ambassador of Saudi Arabia did not meet with any members of Congress, and did not comment on this issue," the message reads.
It was also stated in the message that, by spreading false information about the Kingdom and its position, these sites and newspapers are trying to pit Muslim countries against each other, to cause split and sow seeds of discord between them.
