BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. The Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) condemns the recent provocations and terror acts of the Armenian armed forces illegally stationed in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan which led to the launching of local counter-terrorism measures by Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
"Regretfully, the provocations and terror acts committed against Azerbaijan in its Karabakh region have resulted in killing of civilians and military personnel of Azerbaijan and undermined the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Reiterating the strongest support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of brotherly Azerbaijan, TURKPA Secretariat expresses its firm belief that the local anti-terror measures conducted by Azerbaijan on 19-20 September 2023, will ensure peace and security in the region, and reintegration of the Armenian residents of the Karabakh region into the constitutional framework of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The TURKPA Secretariat expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan over the loss of lives as a result of the provocation," the statement said.
