Ukrainian Ambassador: Frozen Conflicts Issues in GUAM Member-States Territory to Be Included to Agenda of UN General Assembly

I am sure that the frozen conflict issues on the territory of GUAM member-states will be included into the agenda of the UN General Assembly. We shall do our best to do it as soon as possible, Stepan Volkovetskiy, Ukraine Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said today commenting the information about postponing the discussions scheduled for December 6, 2006. Discussions were initiated by GUAM member-states, Trend reports.

The Ukrainian diplomat said that the intermediate inclusion of this issue into the agenda of the UN General Assembly meets the interests of GUAM member-states, and first of all, those of Azerbaijan.

Commenting the reason on postponing the discussions, he said that there were positions of some countries which counteracted both the GUAM efforts and the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
