Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 March / Trend / Azerbaijani gymnast Alia Garayeva took part in all quarter finals of the first stage of the World Cup on Rhythmic Gymnastics on 23 March that was held in Kiev.
According to agf.az , the website of the Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan, the day before Garayeva shared 7th and 8th places with a gymnast from Kazakhstan Alia Yusupova in the all-round competition. The group team of Azerbaijan won the 7th place in the all-round competition. The group team also took part in the two finals of the championship on 23 March.
Website said that Talat Aliyev, the Azerbaijani ambassador to Ukraine and the members of the Youth Committee of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Ukraine also visited the tournament held on 23 March and supported Azerbaijani gymnasts.
Olga Kapranova, the Russian gymnast won the World Cup held in Kiev leaving behind Anna Bessenova, the Ukrainian gymnast. Vera Sesins, also from Russia, won the third place.
