Ukraine, Kiev / Тrend corr Z. Novosvitski / Azerbaijani national tales were published in Kiev in the Ukrainian language, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine, Talat Aliyev, reported.

According to the Ambassador, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine assisted its publication. "Designing the book, including its translation and publication took about 6 months. I think that through reading this book the Ukrainian children will study the history, life and customs of the Azerbaijani people," Aliyev said.

Presently 2,000 copies of the book have been printed, but this is a signal issue and further publications are possible.

Copies of the book were presented to the first-form pupils of Khodoseevka village ( Kiev province) which has good relations with the Embassy, Aliyev said. "Two years ago we repaired and set up a history room, last year we repaired and established a computer room. This year we presented books with Azerbaijani national tales in the Ukrainian language. Each year we make some presentation to the children. They are pleased and that will stick in their memories forever," he said.
