BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. The consumer price index increased by 12.2 percent in 1Q2022 compared to the same period last year in Azerbaijan, the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan told Trend.
Prices for food, drinks, and tobacco increased by 16.8 percent over the year, the committee said.
Non-food products rose in price by 6.6 percent and paid services to the population - by 10 percent.
The consumer price index in Azerbaijan increased by 1.1 percent in March 2022 compared to February and by 12.1 percent compared to March 2021.
