BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Azerbaijan and large companies from Russia and Kazakhstan will sign export contracts, Director General of ‘By Azerbaijan’ company Huseyn Jabrayilov told Trend.
He did not reveal the names of the companies, until the contracts are officially signed.
According to Jabrayilov, it is planned to hold a meeting with the management of Azerbaijan’s Badamli company in the near future and discuss the export of mineral waters to Kazakhstan.
“Today, we see demand for mineral water in Kazakhstan. I think that the contract will have a prospective future," Jabrayilov said, adding it sells over 100 wagons of Georgian 'Borjomi' mineral water a year.
He also noted that this year it is expected to sign a contract with the Russian company for the export of soft drinks, apple concentrate and puree, tomato paste and pomegranate concentrate, from Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani companies, through intermediation of ‘By Azerbaijan’, exported 350 tons of various products (pomegranate juices and concentrates, compotes, alcoholic beverages and cognac distillates, wines) from January through May 2022.
The export of these products, in value terms, amounted to about $400,000.
