BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. A total of 160 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye from January through June 2022, up by 36 companies compared to the same period of 2021, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) said, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.
In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Azerbaijani companies in Türkiye amounted to 56.5 million Turkish liras ($3.16 million), while in the same period of 2021, this figure was 37.2 million Turkish liras ($2.08 million).
During this time, 131 companies with Azerbaijani capital were listed in Istanbul with 40.9 million Turkish liras ($2.29 million) of overall capital.
Out of the total number of registered companies, 13 companies are involved in industry, eight – in construction, and 77 – in wholesale and retail trade.
"The remaining companies operate in other sectors of the Turkish economy," TOBB said.
In 2021, 237 Azerbaijani companies with total capital of 63.2 million Turkish liras ($3.6 million) were registered in Türkiye. The largest number of Azerbaijani companies in the reporting period was registered in Istanbul.
