BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Baku's trade activity equaled 17.506 billion manat ($10.29 billion) in value terms from January through August 2022, up by 3.5 percent compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports citing the Baku City Statistics Department.
In the reporting period, food, beverages and tobacco sales in the Baku trade network amounted to 9.67 billion manat ($5.68 billion), increasing by 9.6 percent against the same period of 2021.
Non-food sales declined to 7.83 billion manat ($4.6 billion), a decrease of 1.8 percent).
According to the department, 36.3 percent of the sold products fell on legal entities, 46.5 percent – on private companies, and 17.2 percent – on Baku's markets.
