BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. Azerbaijan increased the manufacturing volume of chemical products from January through September 2022, Trend reports on October 17 via the State Customs Committee.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 92,600 tons, up by 12.1 percent on annual basis.
Of the total volume of the chemical production, 88,500 tons accounted for commercial propylene.
Besides, according to the committee, in the first nine months of this year, 402,300 tons of methanol were produced in the country, which is 61.7 percent less than in the same period of 2021, and ethylene production volume made up 97,500 tons, down by 21.2 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, the production volume of polyethylene amounted to 94,900 tons, which is 22 percent less than from January through September last year.

The chemical production value in Azerbaijan from January through September 2022 exceeded 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion), thus having grown by 371.4 million manat ($218.4 million) or 27.23 percent year on year.
