BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. The volume of trade turnover in Baku from January through October 2022 increased by 4.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and totaled 19.306 billion manat ($11.3 billion), Trend reports via the Baku City Statistics Department.

Sales of foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco products in the trade network of Baku during the accounting period rose by 4.9 percent compared to the same period last year - up to 10.03 billion manat ($5.9 billion).

Meanwhile, sales of non-food products increased by 4.4 percent - up to 9.27 billion manat ($5.4 billion).

According to the department, 36.1 percent of the sold products accounted for enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 44.5 percent - for trade facilities owned by individuals, and 19.4 percent - for markets of Baku.
