BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. The UK Anglo Asian Mining (AIM) company in Azerbaijan acquired 2.6 million shares of Libero Copper & Gold Corporation (registered in Toronto) for $289,000, Trend reports via AIM.
According to the company, it holds 18.1 million shares in Libero, as well as 8.9 million warrants (a security giving the holder the right to buy a proportional number of shares at a specified price within a certain period of time, usually at a lower price than current market price) exercisable at Canadian 22 cents and 75 cents, respectively.
"Libero provides Anglo Asian with exposure to significant copper resources, in addition to the Company’s fully-owned projects including the world-class Garadagh resource,” the company said.
Anglo Asian is currently at the final stages of developing its medium-term growth strategy, culminating in its transition to becoming a copper focused, mid-tier mining company.
In January 2022, Anglo Asian Mining acquired 10 percent of the shares of Libero Corporation. Thus, its share in Libero Copper & Gold currently stands at 19.8 percent.
