BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. A total of 143,594 tons of chemicals worth $54.09 million were produced in Azerbaijan from January through February 2023, Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee told Trend.
According to the committee, this figure decreased almost by 5.62 percent in value terms, while in quantity terms it increased by 7.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
It was noted that polyethylene production increased by 3.62 percent, to 24,492 tons, while propylene production grew by 2 times, to 23,617 tons.
Furthermore, the volume of production of nitrogen fertilizers amounted to about 59,655 tons, which is 23.4 percent more than in the same period last year.
