Azerbaijan revises state budget revenue parameters

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan has published the updated main parameters of revenues of the state budget of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

According to the data, it is expected that the revenues of the revised state budget of Azerbaijan for 2023 will amount to 33.7 billion manat ($19.8 billion), which is 3 billion manat or $1.7 billion (or 9.8 percent) more in comparison with the approved figure.

A total of 52.5 percent of budget revenues (17.7 billion manat or $10.4 billion) fall on the oil sector, while 47.5 percent (16 billion manat or $9.4 billion) - on the non-oil sector.

The indicator of revenues from the oil sector is higher by 1.4 billion manat ($8.2 million) or 8.9 percent in comparison with the executive indicator of 2022 - by 2.4 billion manat or $1.4 billion (15.7 percent), and revenues from the non-oil sector are higher by 1.5 billion manat or $8.8 million (10.8 percent) compared with the approved indicators of 2023.

The share of non-oil revenues in the state budget revenues will increase by 0.5 percentage points and will amount to 47.5 percent in relation to the approved indicator.

Revenues from the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy will amount to 14.9 billion manat or $8.7 billion (44.2 percent) of budget revenues. Incomes from the State Customs Committee will amount to 5.7 billion manat or $3.3 billion (17 percent) of total revenues.

Transfers from the State Oil Fund will amount to 11.7 billion manat or $6.8 (34.7 percent) of total revenues. Revenues from extra-budgetary incomes of budgetary organizations will amount to 801 million manat or $471.1 million (2.4 percent), while other state budget revenues will amount to 580.8 million manat or $341.6 million (1.7 percent).

The amount of incomes from the State Tax Service will exceed the approved figure for the current year by 1.5 billion manat or $8.8 million (11.4 percent). Of this amount, 6 billion manat or $3.5 billion (40.2 percent) are from the oil sector, while 8.9 billion manat or $5.2 billion (59.8 percent) are from the non-oil sector.

Revenues from the non-oil sector will exceed the approved figure by 545 million manat ($320.5 million) or 6.5 percent, and according to the executive indicator of 2022 - by 793.7 million manat ($466.8 million) or 9.8 percent.

Revenues from extra-budgetary revenues of budgetary organizations are 74.5 million manat ($43.8 million) higher or 10.3 percent compared to the initial forecast and amounted to 801 million manat ($471.1 million). Other revenues of the state budget are higher by 18.6 million manat ($10.9 million) or 3.3 percent, and amounted to 580.8 million manat ($341.6 million).
