BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. Türkiye's exports to the countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (D-8) amounted to $622.6 million in April 2023, which is 34.4 percent less compared to the same month of 2022, Trend reports.
Overall exports to the D-8 countries from January through April 2023 decreased by 29 percent compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to $2.7 billion.
Türkiye's imports from the D-8 countries in April 2023 decreased by 12.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to $966.4 million.
Meanwhile, Türkiye's imports from the D-8 countries from January through April 2023 amounted to $4.3 billion, which is 7.7 percent less in comparison with the same period of 2022.
Türkiye's foreign trade turnover decreased and amounted to $47.4 billion in April 2023.
According to the Turkish ministry, exports decreased by 17.1 percent compared to the same period in 2022 to $19.3 billion, while imports increased by 4.8 percent to $28.6 billion.
Moreover, Türkiye's foreign trade turnover from January through April 2023 amounted to $205.1 billion.
Türkiye's exports amounted to $80.8 billion in the first quarter of 2023, which is 3 percent less compared to the same quarter last year, and imports increased by 7.1 percent in comparison with the same period last year to $124.3 billion.
