BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 5. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $47.662 million from January through October 2023 (0.91 percent of the total Azerbaijani foreign trade turnover with CIS countries), Trend reports.
The data of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan shows that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan increased 5.31 times from January through October 2023 year-on-year ($8.97 million).
Kyrgyzstan's share in the total trade turnover of Azerbaijan totaled almost 0.11 percent from January through October 2023.
Azerbaijan's exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $44.1 million from January through October 2023, which is 10.23 times more year-on-year ($4.3 million).
Azerbaijani imports from Kyrgyzstan amounted to $3.4 million from January through October 2023, which is 24.99 percent less over year ($4.6 million).
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover decreased by 6 percent or $2.7 billion from January through October 2023 over year - from $46.2 billion to $43.5 billion.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $29.3 billion, down $5.3 billion or 15.46 percent year-on-year. The share of exports in the foreign trade turnover amounted to 67.43 percent against 74.97 percent a year earlier.
Azerbaijan's imports grew by $2.5 billion or 22.32 percent year-on-year from $11.5 billion to about $14.1 billion from January through October 2023. The share of imports in the foreign trade turnover amounted to 32.57 percent against 25.03 percent a year earlier.
As a result, the foreign trade balance, while remaining positive during the period under review, declined year-on-year by over $7.9 billion or 34.39 percent to $15.1 billion from $23.1 billion from January through October 2022.
