BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 26. In 2023, TotalEnergies saw a 31-percent decrease in adjusted net operating income from the downstream segment, dropping to $6.1 billion from $8.8 billion the previous year, Trend reports.
According to the company's latest financial statement, similarly, 4Q2023 recorded a 48-percent decline, reaching $939 million compared to $1.8 billion in 4Q2022.
Moreover, the company's cash flow from operations, excluding working capital, from the downstream segment for 2023 amounted to $8.1 billion, reflecting a 19-percent decrease from the $10 billion reported in 2022.
However, in 4Q2023, there was a slight increase of 1 percent, reaching $1.69 billion compared to $1.68 billion in 4Q2022.
Meanwhile, TotalEnergies' refining throughput in 4Q2023 decreased by 7 percent, compared to the preceding quarter (1,489 kb/d), and reached 1,381 kb/d. In 2023 as a whole, refining throughput experienced a 2-percent decline compared to the preceding year, dropping from 1,472 kb/d to 1,436 kb/d.
