BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. The World Bank (WB) forecasts average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 2.2 percent in 2024, while the previous forecast expected 5.8 percent, Trend reports.
According to the bank, inflation in Azerbaijan would be 2.3 percent in 2025, although the World Bank previously anticipated inflation at 5.2 percent next year.
The WB forecasts average annual inflation in the country at 2.3 percent in 2026, a rate not previously projected.
Trading Economics analysts project average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in 2024 at the level of five percent.
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy estimates annual inflation of
5.3 percent in 2024, whereas the UN predicts 5.9 percent this
year.
The International Monetary Fund predicts that average annual
inflation in Azerbaijan will decline to 4.7 percent this year,
while the World Bank believes that average annual inflation in
Azerbaijan will amount to 5.8 percent by 2024.
The Dutch ING Group estimates Azerbaijan's average annual inflation
rate to be 4.4 percent this year.
