6,950 units of non-certified baby toys revealed at Baku shops

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 550 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

Monitoring carried out in the Khatai and Nizami districts of Baku, as well as in the Sumgayit, Shamkir and Guba regions of Azerbaijan. The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, beer, milk and milk products, mayonnaise, and more.

Particularly, some 6.5 kilogram of diet bread, not meeting requirements of normative and technical documentation and without expire date was withdrawn from the shop in the Yasamal District of Baku.

Moreover, 6,950 units of non-certified baby toys were removed from the two stores in the Garadagh district of Baku for laboratory analysis.

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on one enterprise and 14 individuals.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 47 enterprises have been fined worth 181,000 manats and 390 individuals - 584,500 manats.

Monitoring continues.

On Sept. 11, the official exchange rate is 0.8033 manat to $1.
