President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the construction of the Yunusabad line of the Tashkent Metro on Oct. 26, UzDaily reported.
Currently, work is underway to build Turkiston and Yunusobod stations, as well as to lay a tunnel between them.
The tunnel is being built by deep bore tunneling method. For this purpose, the Herrenktnecht mechanized tunnel-boring complex has been brought from Germany. This heavy machine was assembled in May-September. In order to operate it, the experts have upgraded their qualifications in Germany. The unitary enterprise Kuprik Qurilish Trust Ltd. has commissioned a workshop for production of tubing (liner plates) for fastening of tunnel walls.
The president examined this technical complex, gave the responsible persons recommendations regarding the appearance and infrastructure of the metro stations.
