Kazakhstan sees drastic jump in number of housing purchases

The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 511,068 transactions over the period from January through November 2021, which is 85.3 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The total number of buy/sell transactions in Kazakhstan in November 2021 amounted to 46,090 transactions, which is 3.7 percent more than in October 2021 and 53.8 percent more than during the same month of 2020.

The largest number of transactions was observed in Nur-Sultan city where it amounted to 7,673 transactions, which is 19.1 percent more than in October 2021 and 73.7 percent more than in November 2020.

Nur-Sultan city is followed by Almaty city with 6,397 transactions, which is 2.1 percent less than during October 2021 and 27 percent more than in November 2020.

Karaganda region ranked third (5,401 transactions in November 2021), showing a 5.5 percent increase compared to October 2021 and a 71.1 percent increase compared to November 2020.

The least number of purchases and sales of housing transactions during November 2021 was observed in the North Kazakhstan region (849 transactions, a decrease of 1.5 percent compared to October 2021 and an increase of 85 percent compared to November 2020).
