BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Iran's raw steel production amounted to about 27.9 million tons, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), which is a decrease of 8 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports via the report of Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, Iran produced 30.3 million tons of raw steel.
"Furthermore, 19.6 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran within last Iranian year. This is a decrease of 5 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the figure stood at 20.8 million tons in the preceding Iranian year," the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran produced about 30.3 million tons of sponge iron within the last Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 3 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, this figure stood at 31.2 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
