On Tuesday Azerbaijan acquired agricultural technique at expense of the grant allocated by the Japanese government. Azerbaijan purchased 25 combiners in the amount of $1.8m from Japanese Sampo, the Agriculture Ministry told Trend.
At first the technique would be placed in the Exhibitions and Sales Center in Ujar under the Agriculture Ministry, and then distributed to the farmers in the regions.
The tender on purchase of the technique was held in Japan in July 2005.
The grant agreement with Japan as signed by Ismat Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister, and Tadahiro Abe, the Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, at the Agriculture Ministry on 9 March 2005.
