Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The oil transportation from the Caspian Region via the Odessa-Brodi-Gdansk oil pipeline and energy security of Europe will be discussed at a meeting of the Energy Ministries of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine in Tbilisi on 26 September, the Azerbaijani Energy and Industry Ministry said.
Natik Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Energy and Industry Minister, will take part in the meeting at the invitation of Alexander Khetaguri, the Georgian Energy Minister.
The meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Latvia Poland and Ukraine was held in Krakow in Poland on 11 May, 2007. They discussed the Odessa-Brodi-Gdansk oil pipeline project.
As a result of this meeting an international intergovernmental working group was established. The group held its meeting in Gdansk, Poland, in June, Yuzefov, Poland, in July and in Batumi in August.
The group includes the State oil company Pern, Ukratransnafta, CORG, SOCAR, Klaipedos Nafta.
