Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 May / Trend / From January to April 2008, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has carried out drilling work of 71,504 meters, SOCAR reported. This volume is more than the forecast by 5,139 meters and more than the figure 7,208 meters in 2007. Some 16,576 meters were drilled in the field in April only.
The volume of the production drilling made up 69,325 meters in January and April. This is more than the forecast by 4,720 meters and more than the volume of 2007 by 8,029 meters. In April, the production drilling made up 16,213 meters.
The exploratory boring totaled to 2,179 meters in January-April. This is more than the forecast by 419 meters and less than the volume of 2007 by 821 meters. In April, the exploratory boring made up 363 meters.
