The cost of producing one ton of oil by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) in 2009 amounted to 76.53 manat compared to the projected 77.1 manat, SOCAR's official report on the results of last year says.
Some 14 percent of the total costs spent for production of a ton of oil falls to wages, 24.3 percent - amortization costs, while material costs accounted for 14.2 percent, and taxes on mineral resources - 15.3 percent.
According to the SOCAR's report, last year the cost of production of 1,000 cubic meters of gas by SOCAR hit 34.55 manat compared the forecasted 29.66 manat. In 2008, the cost of production of 1,000 cubic meters of gas by SOCAR hit 27.89 manat.
Some 15 percent of the total expenditures on the production of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas fell to material costs, 28.6 percent - amortization costs, and 16 percent - tax on mineral resources.
