Kazakhstan raises gas production

Total production of gas amounted to 19.964 billion cubic meters in Kazakhstan in January-June 2011, as compared to 18.651 billion cubic meters during the same period in 2010, the Kazakh Statistics Agency dispatching management told Trend.

Total production of gas amounted to 19.964 billion cubic meters in Kazakhstan in January-June 2011, as compared to 18.651 billion cubic meters during the same period in 2010, the Kazakh Statistics Agency dispatching management told Trend.

Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.324 bcm in June compared to 2.955 bcm during the same period last year. Natural gas production increased by 12.5 percent and natural gas production by 13.1 percent, as compared to June 2010.

The country's gas production increased by 3.8 percent and natural gas production declined by 1.8 percent in June 2011, compared to the previous month.

The implementation of the plan in June for the country's gas extraction amounted to 99.3 percent extracted gas, and natural gas extracted at 97.6 percent.
