The Heydar Aliyev Baku Deep Water Jacket Factory has started the reconstruction of the Gunashli-7 platform.
The source said within the scheduled work the plant will conduct repair and upgrading of the bearing unit, as well as construction of 14 units of platform.
"Work has been already started and is scheduled to be completed by mid-2012," the source said.
The shallow part of the Guneshli field is developed by SOCAR at its own expense, and the deep part within the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block in conjunction with a consortium of foreign companies.
