Korea National Oil Corporation to join KazEnergy

Korea National Oil Corporation expressed its will to join KazEnergy, this Friday the CEO of KazEnergy Association Asset Magauov stated while speaking at a regular meeting of the Association.

"We have received requests from several companies expressing their desire to join our Association. Korea National Oil Corporation is among these companies, as well as Siemens company which has expressed a desire to become our partner and actively cooperate with us," Asset Magauov said.

According to him, 'Uzenmunaigas' and 'Embamunaigas' oil companies, which had previously been subsidiary companies of JSC NC 'KazMunaiGas' but then were granted the status of independent companies, are also going to join KazEnergy.

As reported before, 'KazEnergy' Association was created 2 November 2005 and is an independent non-profit voluntary association of legal entities aimed at promoting creation of an appropriate environment for dynamic and sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex of Kazakhstan.

The Association shall become an integrated 'information harbor' for the oil and gas producers and other subsoil users, energy and transportation companies, as well as a wide range of consumers of goods and services of the oil and gas, as well as energy sectors.

'KazEnergy' Association brings together more than 50 major players in the oil and gas and energy industries, including mining, transportation, service, geophysical, uranium and other multinational companies.

The head of the Association is Kulibayev, son-in-law of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
