SOCAR discloses Azeri Light shipment volumes from Ceyhan in Dec.

Some 2.5 million tons of Azerbaijani oil will be shipped from the Turkish port of Ceyhan in December 2015, a source in SOCAR told Trend Nov. 12.

"According to the approved schedule, some 2.5 million tons of oil will be shipped from the terminal in Ceyhan," the statement said. "Thus, as of 2015, this index will reach 29 million tons of oil. This corresponds to the level of 2014."

Moreover, 23.97 million tons of oil were delivered to the world markets from Turkey's Ceyhan port from Jan.-Oct. 2015, compared to 24.59 million tons in the same period in 2014.

This is while 29.1 million tons of oil were delivered to the world markets from the port in 2014, compared to 29.2 million tons in 2013.

As of Nov.1, in total, 285.91 million tons of Azerbaijani oil were delivered to the world markets from Ceyhan port since the commissioning of the BTC pipeline.

The total length of the BТС is 1,768 kilometers including a 443 kilometer-long section running through Azerbaijan, a 249-kilometer long section in Georgia and a 1,076-kilometer long section in Turkey. The construction of the pipeline started in April 2003. It was filled with oil on May 18, 2005.

BTC Co. shareholders are: BP (30.1 percent), AzBTC (25 percent), Chevron (8.9 percent), Statoil (8.71 percent), ТРАО (6.53 percent), Eni (5 percent), Total (5 percent), Itochu (3.4 percent), Inpex (2.5 percent), ConocoPhillips (2.5 percent) and ONGC (2.36 percent).
