Iran will put up gasoline for sale in the energy exchange in August, Executive Director of Iranian Energy Exchange Ali Huseyni said.
According to the measures envisaged by the Iranian sixth development program, the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum must put up for sale crude oil and oil products on the energy exchange, Huseyni added, Trend reports referring to Tasnim news agency.
He added that the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company reached the agreement on the sale of gasoline at the energy exchange.
According to the programs, which are being implemented, and taking into account the completion of implementation of the third phase of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery, Iran will start to export gasoline through the energy exchange, Huseyni said.
Gasoline production reaches 105 million liters a day in Iran.
