BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 14. In total, 128 billion liters of crude oil and oil products were transported in Iran, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Executive Director of Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company Arslan Rahimi told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.

This is an increase of about 9 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the director noted.

According to him, Iran transported about 68 billion liters of crude oil within last Iranian year, which is an increase of about 6 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the figure stood at 64 billion liters in the preceding Iranian year.

Rahimi also pointed out that about 60 billion liters of oil products were transported in Iran over last year. This is an increase of 12 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (53.4 billion liters).

The director stressed that the most transported oil product for last Iranian year was gasoline with 24 billion liters.

“The company currently has 194 crude oil and oil products transportation centers. Crude oil and related products are transported in the country through 296 telecommunication stations,” he said.
