BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug.5. Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz field has produced about 170 billion cubic metres of gas since start, Trend reports with reference to bp.

Moreover, during the entire period, the field produced about 38 million tonnes of condensate.

In the first half of the year, the Shah Deniz field produced about 13 billion standard cubic metres (bscm) of gas and more than 2 million tonnes (more than 18 million barrels) of condensate in total from the Shah Deniz Alpha and Shah Deniz Bravo platforms, as compared to 10 billion standard cubic metres (bcm) of gas and around 1.9 million tonnes (15.1 million barrels) of condensate in H1 2021.

As such, the volume of gas and condensate production at the field rose by 30 percent and 5.3 percent, respectively.

The existing Shah Deniz facilities’ production capacity is currently about 70 million standard cubic metres of gas per day or more than 25 bcma.

Shah Deniz participating interests are: bp (operator – 29.99%), LUKOIL (19.99%), TPAO (19.00%), SOCAR (14.35%), NICO (10.00%) and SGC (6.67%).
