BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. The TAP AG consortium has disclosed the nominations for gas flow in its interconnections within the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) on June 19, Trend reports.
The Kipoi interconnection in Greece has recorded gas entry nominations of 331,019,866 kWh for June 19 and 29,000,000 kWh for June 20. At the Komotini interconnection, the exit nominations for June 19 amounted to 42,024,757 kWh. On the same date, the Nea Mesimvria interconnection noted 18,346,082 kWh for gas entry and 30,346,301 kWh for gas exit.
The Melendugno interconnection reported gas exit nominations of 275,494,890 kWh on June 19 and 29,000,000 kWh on June 20.
Being an integral part of the Southern Gas Corridor in Europe, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) plays a vital role in bolstering the continent's energy security, diversifying its energy sources, and supporting decarbonization efforts. With a transportation capacity of around 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year, the pipeline has the potential to expand up to 20 billion cubic meters annually. TAP serves as a reliable source of natural gas, contributing to Europe's access to a new and sustainable energy resource.
