SOCAR’s current assets up by almost 40%

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Current assets of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR grew by 39.6 percent in 2022 as compared to 2021 and stood at 33.43 billion manats, while its total assets rose by 16.5 percent reaching 80.84 billion manats, Trend reports.

A growth trend was also observed in SOCAR's total capital and the amount of cash.

SOCAR reveals that its total capital increased by 46.5 percent standing at 33.34 billion manats, and cash resources showed a 38.6 percent increase totaling 12.49 billion manats.

SOCAR is engaged in exploration of oil and gas fields, the production, processing and transportation of oil, gas and gas condensate, the sale of oil and petrochemicals in the domestic and international markets, the supply of natural gas to industrial enterprises and the population of Azerbaijan, as well as Europe.

The company conducts various activities in countries such as Türkiye, Georgia, Romania, Switzerland, Germany and Ukraine, including trading activities mainly in Switzerland, Singapore and Nigeria.
