BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. The primary importers of Azerbaijani oil from January through November 2023 have been disclosed, based on data from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
During this period, Azerbaijan exported approximately 24.2 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products, valued at over $15 billion.
The top three importers of Azerbaijani oil from January through November are led by Italy, importing 10.4 million tons with a total value of $6.7 billion. Following Italy, Israel ranks second with 2.2 million tons valued at $1.4 billion, and India stands third, importing 1.5 million tons worth over $917.9 million.

Azerbaijan exports its oil to neighboring countries and global markets through pipelines such as Baku-Novorossiysk, Baku-Supsa, and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC). Currently, transportation via the Baku-Supsa pipeline is temporarily suspended. Additionally, oil is transported by rail to terminals in Batumi and Kulevi in Georgia.
