Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan probable to sign an interstate agreement on BTC by late 2005 вЂ" SOCAR President

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are probable to sign an interstate agreement on joint oil pumping via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline by the end of the year, Natik Aliyev, the General Director of the General Director of BTC Co., told Trend.

According to Aliyev, the interstate agreement has been accorded with Kazakhstan and now the transport document is under development. “The agreement was submitted to all Ministries and relevant replies were followed. There is no problem in this respect,” Aliyev noted.

The shareholders of the Kashagan project committed to pump 7.5 million tons of oil in 2008-2009. The discharge capacity of the BTC is 50 million tons of oil a year.
