A new gas treatment unit will be installed at platform Chirag-1 located at Chirag oilfield, Trend reports quoting Rovnag Abdullayev, president of SOCAR.
Abdullayev said these units are upgraded each year. At the moment one gas treatment unit with capacity 2.6mln m3/day is operated at Chirag. Accounting for increase of oil and petroleum gas production, its capacity is suggested to be raised to 4.6mln m3/day.
The program draft has been developed to date, as well as examined and approved by SOCAR. As to the platform substructure, Abdullayev said it is loaded at 14.5kt and new equipment will not have much effect on it.
