SOCAR Energy Georgia to Supply Diesel Oil for ВТС

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / SOCAR Energy Georgia has intentions to sign a contract on supply of diesel oil for the needs of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) project, the director general of SOCAR Energy Georgia, Mahir Mammadov, reported on 5 June.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic has a 51% share in SOCAR Energy Georgia.

The fuel will be supplied for pumping stations of the BTC in the Georgian territory. Diesel fuel has been supplied to the station on the basis of a contract with Lukoil. A part of it will be transmitted to SOCAR Energy Georgia. The volume of supplies is under consideration.

An analogue contract is expected to be signed within the framework of the Baku-Supsa pipeline operation. There are plans to supply some 9,000 tons of diesel oil for needs of the Baku-Supsa pipeline in 2008.
