Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) carried out drilling operations totalling 82,310 metres in January-May. The volume exceeds the forecast by 8,280 metres and the index of 2006 by 28,051 metres. In May, 18,014 meters were drilled.
The volume of production drilling made up 78,678 metres in January-May. The index exceeds the forecast by 6,126 metres and the index of 2006 by 24,669 metres. In May, production drilling comprised 17,382 metres.
Exploration drilling amounted to 3,632 metres in January-May. The figure exceeds the forecast by 2,154 metres and the index of 2006 by 3,382 metres. In May, exploration drilling amounted to 632 metres.
