Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The Marketing and Economic Operations Department (MEOD) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed a tender on the export of 615,000 barrels of REBCO oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. Israeli company Oil Refineries LTD won the tender. The oil will be shipped either on the 29th or the 30th of July.
In January SOCAR did not transport oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline. In February, March, April and May SOCAR shipped three consignments of oil at a total volume of 450,000 barrels. In June a consignment was sold in the volume of 1.2mln barrels
In January oil pumped via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline was not carried out due to oil being delivered to oil refinery plants for production of fuel for electric power grids. This year Azerbaijan has ceased its gas import from Russia, which was used at the power stations to produce electricity
In January-May SOCAR exported 326,395 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline.
In 2007 oil cargos from Novorossiysk have been purchased by the following companies:
Glencore Energy UK Ltd - February (450,000 barrels);
REOC Ltd - March (450,000 barrels);
Glencore Energy UK Ltd - April (450,000 barrels).
Sunoil SA - May (450,000 barrels).
Oil Refineries LTD - June (1.2mln barrels)
Oil Refineries LTD - June (615,000 barrels).
