The non-bank credit organizations of Azerbaijan have rendered credit services worth more than four billion manats to the population over the past 20 years, Trend reports referring to Suleyman Kalyashev, member of the board of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA).
Kalyashev made the remarks in Baku at the investment fair entitled "Microfinance Development in Azerbaijan" on Oct. 4.
“These services directly affected about 500,000 people, but indirectly they covered about two million residents of the country,” he said.
Presently, there are 45 non-bank credit organizations in Azerbaijan. MJ Financial Services Limited and Acet Financial Technologies, licensed by the Financial Market Supervisory Authority of Azerbaijan (FIMSA) on August 27, 2019, were among the last companies which joined the list of non-bank credit organizations.
