BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. Azerbaijan’s fixed capital investments amounted to 6.29 billion manat ($3.7 billion) from January through June 2022, decreasing by 0.7 percent against the same period of 2021, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, investments in the oil and gas industry dropped by 20.7 percent, while in the non-oil sector increased by 18.5 percent compared to the first six months of 2021.

Meanwhile, 60 percent of fixed investments, or 3.78 billion manat ($2.2 billion), fell on manufacturing, 33.8 percent (2.13 billion manat, or $1.25 million) – on services, 6.2 percent (387.1 million manat, or $227.9 million) – on the construction of residential houses, and 74.5 percent (4.69 billion manat, or $2.7 billion) accounted for internal funds.

Some 4.567 billion manat ($2.68 billion), or 72.5 percent of the funds allocated to fixed assets, was spent on construction and installation work during this period.

Funds of enterprises and organizations amounted to 3.35 billion manat ($1.9 billion) out of the total fixed capital funds, while budgetary funds totaled 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion), other funds – 317.5 million manat ($186.9 million), personal funds of the population – 476.1 million manat ($280.35 million), as well as bank loans – 190.4 million manat ($112.1 million).
