The Broadcast Control Department of the Azerbaijani the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology's State Department on Radio Frequencies has discovered 424 broadcast violations within seven months, management said.
The department monitored 579 networks and 1,126 radio-frequency resources during the reported period. The Broadcast Control Department sent notification letters to the relevant companies to stop the broadcast violations.
The department found 43 units of unregistered frequency resources and 29 VSAT satellite terminals.
Within the mobile phone sector Azercell Telecom Ltd has registered 9 base stations (BS) and 14 radio-relay lines (RRL), Bakcell 16 Bs and 14 RRL and Azerfon 19 BS and 28 RRLs.
As a result of the monitoring the department filed 109 acts and 34 protocols.
