In January-August, volume of telecommunication and postal services rendered to organizations and populations hit 645.3 million manat or 11.6 percent more than similar index of 2008, the Azerbaijani state statistics committee said.
Roughly 77.9 percent of total volume or 502.6 million manat falls to services rendered to population.
Roughly 72.2 percent of profit falls to mobile communication. Their growth hit 12.2 percent.
Growth of communication services hit 5 percent in Guba-Khachmaz, 3.1 percent in Nagorno-Shirvan region, 3.1 percent in Aran, 2.5 percent in Lankaran, 12.1 percent in Absheron and 0.3 percent in Ganja-Gazakh regions.
