Carpet weavers in Azerbaijan will be able to protect their works of art through the Waves blockchain platform, the Manager of the local Waves society Orkhan Ahmadov told Trend.

Ahmadov noted that, each Azerbaijani carpet will be registered in the blockchain, which will confirm the originality of the product.

"We plan to implement this project before the end of the year. In general, the Waves blockchain platform can be applied to any product, for example, for the registration of medicines, wine products, agricultural products, etc.", said Ahmadov.

"The Waves platform can also be used as a pass ticket. For example, along with the invitation, a token, which is required to attend an event, can be sent. We now plan to apply the Waves platform in the voting, during the contest for the MilliNet prize," said Ahmadov.

The Waves blockchain platform was founded by Russian businessman Alexander Ivanov and launched in 2016. The developers managed to attract about 30,000 bitcoins (about $16 million) and implement their ideas. Currently, Waves clients use the platform to create their own tokens, which can be used as an equivalent of any asset (securities, shares, documents) for exchange. Waves platform provides high speed of transactions and has a number of features. It allows to use mobile multi-wallet WavesWallet where both Waves cryptocurrencies, and other types of cryptocurrency can be kept. This platform also allows to create and organize purchase and sale of personal cryptocurrencies.
