Large holdings of Azerbaijan consolidate their IT infrastructures
Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 10

The large companies and holdings in Azerbaijan (whose names have not been disclosed) are preparing for major consolidation of their IT departments in order to optimize costs and improve the quality of services provided, a source in the country's IT market told Trend Oct. 10.
The source noted that the holdings are currently paying special attention to the functional development of their IT infrastructures.
“For example, if currently, the companies of various specializations are operating within these holdings, and each of them already has its own IT infrastructures, now the work is underway to consolidate these infrastructures,” the source said.
All work carried out in this direction, the source believes, ultimately provides for the fruitful use of large amounts of data.
"The holdings, whose structural divisions consist of their insurance, construction, travel companies, medical institutions, etc., are committed to knowing more about their existing and potential customers. A multifunctional Call-center is an example. There are solutions that allow call center operator for a split second to get detailed information about the caller. This may be his personal data (full name), information about the places where he worked and works, information about movable and immovable properties registered in his name, information about fine tickets written up in his name, up to a user account in social networks," the source said.
It is the use of large amounts of data, the source said, that will allow holdings to offer their clients the targeted products and solutions in a timely manner. This can be achieved by using a single data center, in connection with which the requirements of large market players are focused on using analytical platforms and data structuring solutions.
