Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / Some AZM 247.1mln in services in the communication sphere were spent in Azerbaijan for January to May 2007. This is an 18.1% increase from 2006.
While 75.5% services were rendered to private companies, the general population received 76.7% of the benefits belonging to communication services.
The volume of rendered communication services was also increased in different Azerbaijani regions.
The increase in the Guba-Khachmaz regions made up 19,1%, in the Shirvan region -11,9%, in the Shaki- Zakatala regions- 11,8%, in the Aran lowland- 13,9%, in the Nakhchivan -29,3%, in the Lankoran region -13,8%, in the Absheron region -1,2% and in the Ganja-Kazakh regions - 6,7%.
